Okay… Call me a killjoy, but this is for those of you who may be having a hard time on this Father’s Day, especially if you’ve had a strained relationship with, or were abused by, your father.

So very true!!
Get yourself quiet. Breathe. And repeat after me:Consider this beautiful meditation to begin your week...
"...In metta meditation, we direct loving kindness toward ourselves and then, in a sequence of expansion, towards somebody we love already. Somebody we are neutral towards. Somebody we have difficulty with. And ultimately toward all beings everywhere without distinction...."
― Sharon Salzberg, excerpt from essay from Tricycle: The Buddhist Review book, Radiant Mind.
As you work through each stage of "expansion," complete your meditation with these four phrases:
May all beings everywhere be safe and well.
May all beings everywhere happy and content.
May all beings everywhere healthy and strong.
May all beings be peaceful and at ease.
